Volunteers

Becoming part of MSB as a volunteer is an important role in helping improve the level of independence and quality of life of those who are living with sight loss.

Volunteer roles cover a range of activities from administrative/office work to working directly with people who are visually impaired. No matter whether you can spare a couple of hours a month or a day a week, wherever you live, and whatever your age and experience - there is something that YOU might have to offer.

Here are a variety of voluntary roles to choose from. These roles are flexible and we encourage volunteers to participate in different ways.

  • Children and Teens Volunteer

If you are passionate about working with children and young people, responsible, creative, and flexible, you might be the right person for a Children and Teens Volunteer.
Preferably, you have some educational background and experience working with children and teens.

In this role you would suggest skill-building and fun programs for children and teens that are blind or visually impaired.  You will be responsible for the children and young people, and you will need to manage your group and make sure all the participants are enjoying themselves.

If you are interested to volunteer, please send us an email using the subject line "Application - Children and Teens Volunteer".

Note: If you have a blind or visually impaired child and want to know more about how to enrol in the Children and Teens program, please contact us via email and use the subject line “Request - Children and Teens Prigran”.
Note: We already have a volunteer specialized in reading stories in English to children.  If you are interested in this service or maybe have an idea about what projects to create in this scheme, we would appreciate if you please contact us via email and use the subject line “Application - Volunteer Reading”.
